Only 25 minutes from downtown Oaxaca, our home is the ideal destination for you to enjoy the city by day and the quiet, clean air of San Pablo Etla by night.

Built of adobe and decorated in a rustic Mexican style with crafts from all over southern Mexico, the house and casita offer you modern facilities with an old world charm, including outdoor dining, private patios for relaxing, wifi indoors and out, comfortable beds, gardens filled with flowering plants and fruit trees, and a shared communal in-ground pool with palapa. The house and its very private casita can be rented together for larger groups.
El Barco was our full-time family home until recently. We still visit several months each year and look forward to someday moving back fulltime.
One of our favorite pastimes is enjoying sunset at the pool with a glass of wine or mescal, listening to the birds while remembering our day at the market. We hope to share this paradise with you sometime soon.
